Got Questions?
Many people struggle with consulting an attorney for a variety of reasons: perceived cost vs benefit of speaking with an attorney for the first time, the timing of the potential need to speak with an attorney, or uncertainty about whether consulting an attorney is even necessary or desirable.
1Do I need to pay a retainer before a consultation?
No. All consultations are free of charge and can be handled in person, over the phone, or through one of various remote meeting platforms.
2Can I schedule a consultation quickly in an emergency?
If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, contact law enforcement immediately. If, however, you have received legal documents in the mail, a phone call or other contact from someone claiming to be a legal professional or acting to enforce a legal claim, or other law-related contact that has you concerned or confused, consultations can be scheduled as soon as the same day, subject to availability.
3Do I really need an attorney?
Short answer: no, but actually yes. Many court forms can be found in packets designed for ease of use, often even including directions as to how and when to fill out and file them. However, many of these forms are filled with unfamiliar terms or confusingly worded directions. If you have any questions at all as to what information needs to be entered where or which forms are required, a consultation with a licensed attorney can be the difference between the unnecessary delays and complications caused by incorrect filing and a swift resolution to your matter.
